1963 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst
We acquired this 1963 Fender Stratocaster in original Sunburst from Rose in Boca Raton, FL, who inherited it from her late husband. He had played in bands and gigged regularly before giving it all up after they met. Rose recalls that this Strat was his pride and joy, never leaving its case once it was tucked away under their bed for decades. Thanks to his care and devotion, the guitar remains in remarkable condition. A true time capsule and one of the cleanest examples we've ever encountered.
Measurements:Ā 7.7 lbs / 3.50 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.68" / 42.6mm wide at the nut, 0.82" deep at the first fret, and 1.01" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.58k ohms, the middle reads 6.27k ohms, and the bridge reads 6.11k ohms.Ā
Originality: Replaced 5 way switch. Cavity shielding was previously installed which was removed.Ā
Playability:Ā Very good! The neck is straight, the truss rod functions as intended, and the electronics have been cleaned.Ā
Included: Original hardshell case, original strap, original bridge cover, old packs of strings, Martin guitar picks.Ā
